My son Elliot, who has Down Syndrome, is a student at the Little Light House school in Tulsa, OK. The Little Light House is a non-profit, TUITION FREE school for kids with special needs. It is truly one-of-a-kind.

His school is in the running for winning $500,000 in funding in the Kohls Cares Facebook contest. Please, please, consider voting or sharing some votes for my son’s school! Here is a link to his school: http://www.littlelighthouse.org/

Honestly, it is a micacle already that the tulsa community has rallied around the little light house and brought them to the top 40. But we need to crack the top 20 to be awarded! PLEASE VOTE! Its free, harmless, all you have to do is find Kohl’s Cares on facebook, and find The Little Light House and share your votes, please! THANKS!

-Mr. B, aka Elliot’s Dad

The purpose of this website is to provide a summary overview of the First World War. Necessarily a long-term undertaking – and approaching ten years in the making – a significant amount of material remains to be covered.

Whole aspects of the conflict are light on material at present – rest assured, this is not deliberate: in time the intent is that it should all find its place on the site.

A word of caution however; this is by no means an academic website. It’s authored as spare time permits and is geared towards a general rather than scholarly readership. Given this, it is not recommended that this site be used for academic reference purposes for school or university papers. This does not so much indicate a concerning lack of authorial confidence in the accuracy of site content as an acknowledgement that material on the site has not been submitted for formal peer review.

MR. B’s NOTE: WHILE INTENDED FOR COLLEGE SURVEY-LEVEL COURSES, MANY MANY OF THESE RESOURCES ARE APPLICABLE TO SECONDARY SOCIAL STUDIES!

The Internet Modern History Sourcebook is one of series of history primary sourcebooks. It is intended to serve the needs of teachers and students in college survey courses in modern European history and American history, as well as in modern Western Civilization and World Cultures. Although this part of the Internet History Sourcebooks Project began as a way to access texts that were already available on the Internet, it now contains hundreds of texts made available locally.

The great diversity of available sources for use in modern history classes requires that selections be made with great care – since virtually unlimited material is available. The goals here are:
